Educate Yourself Educate Others

Chronic Migraine Awareness, Inc would like to thank Lisa for sharing her advocacy with us.

Over the past eight years, since I was diagnosed with Chronic Hemiplegic Migraine, I have read alot which helped me understand and reassure myself what this neurological condition is. Through educating myself I am then comfortable to forward that knowledge as well as my personal experiences to help educate others.

I have created my own Hemiplegic Migraine Instagram page – hmwarriorss, to follow multiple migraine / chronic migraine / hemiplegic migraine pages. These offer a lot of support as well as knowledge and personal experiences.

I have found sharing my personal experiences with others has helped so many other people. From the information I have read on the different types of migraine and the symptoms associated with each type, I have been able to comfort others living with migraine disease. I have spoken with parents of children experiencing symptoms and asked them to speak up to their General Practioner about possible abdominal migraine or migraine disease. This has helped their children receive the specialist advice and treatment needed.

It is so important for us to share information and experiences with others. It reassures and provides confidence to others living with migraine disease who are looking for answers, to understand what treatments are available to them.
